About me

I am an exploration seismologist with an interest in understanding the seismic wave propagation in the earth. I work towards observing, modeling, and explaining the wave phenomenons that might be of interest to researchers. I carry out the full seismic wavefiled numerical simulations to mimic a realistic propagation of seismic wave in the earth. Such simulations are also utilized in the modern imaging techniques, e.g., reverse time migration (RTM), full waveform inversion (FWI), which leverage full wavefield information. I develop my own codes for numerical simulation and I am equally interested in numerical methods as it serves the immediate demand in large simulation.

I have research experience in the following fields and I explore the related fields.

  1. Wavefield simulation and inversion using wavefield data (RTM, FWI)
  2. Numerical and computational methods
  3. Upscaling wave equation
  4. Ambient noise simulation

My complete cv can be downloaded here and a brief summary of it here.
